Israeli Citizens in Solidarity with Chilean Human Rights Activist Denied Entry to Israel

We are a group of Israeli citizens, active to end our government's policies of racism, occupation and apartheid, against the Palestinian people.

We have come to the conclusion that in order to end a decades-long policy of oppression against the Palestinian people, a global campaign of solidarity, including BDS (boycott, divestment and sanctions) is necessary.

We would like to express our solidarity with Attorney Anwar Majluf of the Palestinian Federation of Chile, who was denied entry to Israel this week.

Attorney Majluf was going on a delegation to spend Easter in the Holy Land, as a Christian and a humanitarian. He was prevented from doing so. We strongly condemn this act by the Israeli government.

Israel’s draconian entry ban, as well as hysterical incitement by senior Israeli politicians such as Minister Gilad Erdan, are an indication of a desperate, failed effort to stop the growing BDS movement in Chile and Latin America in general.

We stand in solidarity with international human rights activists who are denied entry to Israel. We share the view of the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC):

and we note that Israel's entry bans help convince the world of the racist and anti-democratic nature of the Israeli regime.

Sincerely,

Boycott! Supporting the Palestinian BDS Call from Within (aka Boycott from Within)
