Dear Birmingham Civil Rights Institute board,

As Israeli citizens and human rights defenders, we would like to thank you for reaffirming Angela Davis as the recipient of the Human Rights award.

In addition, we would like to thank BCRI president and CEO Andrea Taylor, for her significant statement, recognizing Davis for her conspicuous achievements.

Honoring ardent human rights activists such as Davis isn’t only a recognition of the ceaseless fight for human rights by her and other activists, but it also creates a loophole for others to join you and support your moral action, hence coming together to create a better world.
